Swami Vimalananda is an Integral Yoga sannyasi ??monk. She has been involved with Integral Yoga since 1971, and Director of the S.F. Integral Yoga Institute since 1992. She specializes in teaching yoga philosophy.?She also serves on the Integral Yoga International Board which oversees the teachings for the entire organization.

Reverend Jivana Heyman

Director of Teacher Training

Jivana has focused on teaching yoga for people with disabilities, and is currently on staff at California Pacific Medical Center's Institute for Health and Healing. He has also worked with Dean Ornish's Heart Disease Reversal Program, and taught yoga for many years through the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Diana Meltsner

Trainer
Diana Meltsner has been teaching Integral Yoga style Hatha classes in the Bay Area since 2001.
She has focused on the full spectrum of students and environments from children at schools to seniors in medical clinics. She also teaches prenatal and postnatal classes in yoga studios. Her classes encourage mindfulness and lead towards experiencing inner peace and self discovery. She has been staffing the IY teacher trainings since 2003.

Sadasiva Schroeder

Sadasiva (Kurt) Schroeder has been active with the Integral Yoga Institute since 1995. Sadasiva began his practice as a karma yogi through housework, as a receptionist, and in the kitchen. Sadasiva completed his basic hatha training in 2003 and intermediate training in 2005. He has gradually increased his involvement in teacher trainings over the past few years focusing mainly on asana techniques.

Rama Garcia

Trainer
Rama Garcia is currently the Anatomy and Physiology Instructor for Basic Hatha Yoga Teacher Training.
He began his yoga edification at Integral Yoga Institute in 2004. Since this time, Rama has transitioned careers from science research to nursing. In addition to teaching and helping the infirmed, Rama takes immense pleasure from his urban farm.

Our Staff

Our Teacher Training program has been training teachers and changing lives for over twenty-five years. In San Francisco, we are lucky to have a gifted and experienced staff that has taught this training for years.
In fact, Integral Yoga was a founding member of the Yoga Alliance (the national organization of Yoga teachers).
